Hello crafty friends! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. The Brutus Monroe inspiration team is hopping today with these cool Fabulous Fibers. These are super unique, and I haven't any other products like this that are marketed towards paper crafting! Our team has created some really neat projects with these fibers. The feel like tinsel, and they have a really pretty iridescent shine to them. The "Wallpaper" stencil makes me think of the roaring 20's, since it has an Art Deco vibe, so I decided to turn the fibers into a flapper-style fringe! I started out by stenciling the glitter glaze of the month, which is called "Carnation", onto a piece of Alabaster cardstock. I can't wait to do more with this stencil because it's so beautiful! I set it aside to dry and stamped the sentiment in Raven detail ink. I fussy cut around the edge and backed it with foam tape. Hello crafty friends, and happy New year! Today the Brutus Monroe inspiration team is sharing new year cards! I always think of new year's as a glitzy, glittery night... Even though I'll be in the couch in my PJs! #MomLife , right?? I started with the stencil of the month, which has a glamorous art deco vibe, and the glitter glaze of the month which is opaque white and called "Frosted Window Pane". I can't wait to play with both of these some more! I stenciled it on a piece of Alabaster cardstock and left it to dry. On a scrap of Alabaster cardstock, I heat embossed the letters using Gilded Sparkle EP, and filled in the outline letters with Gilded aqua pigment. When they were dry, I fussy cut around all the letters, and stuck small pieces of foam tape to the backs. Hello crafty friends! Thanks for joining me today on my blog. It's another Wednesday blog hop for the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team, and the theme this week is "Favorite Products"! I had a hard time choosing a favorite...there are so many fun products. My first Brutus Monroe love was the embossing powders, but in the last year, I think I've enjoyed the glitter glaze the most! I've created two cards using the glitter glaze to share with you. One of the cool things about glitter glaze is that the backgrounds don't need much added to them. Both cards have such a bold, sparkly background that all I had to do was put a sentiment on and call it a day! For this first card, I used the colors Lilac, Sugar Plum, Grape and Raspberry. Lilac and Plum Perfect are colors from the Glitter Glaze of the Month subscription. Hello crafty friends! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Today is another Wednesday Brutus Monroe blog hop, and our assignment was to use this gorgeous picture as color inspiration for a project! My project today was one of those cards that did NOT turn out how I originally intended! Over the course of a couple days it morphed into a tall, odd-dimension creation. I started out by using the stencil of the month on an Alabaster cardstock panel, and blending Sunflower and Lime glitter glazes in an ombre. Then I decided I wanted the pink and orange tones instead, so I made another separate panel with Raspberry, Pumpkin, Tangerine and Sunflower. I couldn't decide which one I wanted to use, and ended up attaching them so that the color blending went all the way from pink to green! I trimmed down the panels a little bit and attached them together where the yellow areas connected. To cover the line where they connect, I glued a diagonal strip of Alabaster cardstock. Hi crafty friends! Thanks for joining me today. It's Wednesday, which means blog hop day for the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team. This week we're sharing projects with some subscription products for May. I'm using the stencil of the month which is absolutely gorgeous!  I tinted some fallen snow with Green and Blue neon aqua pigments, and mixed some together to create a turquoise transitional shade. They still react with blacklight, but they are somewhat toned down when they are mixed with the glaze. I mixed some Blue and Green neon aqua pigments together to make the turquoise shade and painted a scrap piece of aqua pigment paper. I heat embossed the sentiment in white, and die cut it with one of the hexagon nesting dies. I cut the next size up hexagon out of Alabaster cardstock and layered them together, slightly turned for more interest. Hi crafty friends, thanks for stopping by! Today the Brutus Monroe inspiration team is blog hopping with some of the subscription products for March. My project used the stencil of the month, glitter glaze of the month and the stamp of the month! For my card I started with a panel of Alabaster cardstock and used the stencil of the month with the Glitter Glaze of the month, a shade called "Sparkling Coral". True to its name, it is a gorgeous sparkly coral color, perfect for spring or summer! While the background dried, I stamped the tulips from the stamp of the month with Raven detail ink, and colored them with Zig clean color real brush markers, and I blended them with a sparkle pen. I fussy-cut the tulips and set them aside. I used the Raven detail ink again to stamp the sentiment onto Alabaster cardtock and trimmed it into a long banner shape I die cut the curved shape from a piece of Alabaster cardstock and used foam tape to pop it up on the bottom of the glitte...

Hello crafty friends! Thanks for stopping by. This post is part of the weekly Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team blog hop. Our assignment this week was to use some of the February subscription products! I chose to use the stencil and the stamp of the month. If you haven't seen the full stencil yet, it's actually an egg shape with the pretty swirls and dots. The stamp is the cute little bunny and the words "Hoppy Spring". It also includes a little peep shaped stamp, but I didn't use it for this project. On instagram I spotted a really cool "wiper" card on the account @alilovescardmaking and I had never tried one before! I searched for "wiper card" on YouTube and watched a few tutorials to get an idea for the mechanism. I cut the main card base pieces from Lunch Bag cardstock, and then cut an Alabaster cardstock panel to fit on the front. I used Honeysuckle and Rouge inks blended over the stencil, with the Rouge concentrated in the center.  ...

The theme of our Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team hop this week is "Shining Shimmering Splendid", which is a reference to the lyrics from "A Whole New World" from Aladdin. If you've ever watched any of Christopher's (the owner of Brutus Monroe) live videos, he uses the phrase quite a bit! I am a huge Disney fan, so it always makes me smile, and I sing the lyrics in my head. For this project, I used a combination of the new Chroma Glaze, and a clear toner sheet with foil.  First, I trimmed a panel of Alabaster cardstock and taped the Chevron stencil over it with a purple tape. I used the "Blush" and "Sapphire" Chroma Glaze to mix different shades of purple on my craft mat, so that I could create a gradient between the pink and the blue tones. I have a TON of projects with it, and I really really love it. I own all the colors, and I subscribe to their glitter glaze of the month club as well. I can't get enough! For the first project, I used the colors Berry and Glacier, which is the November glitter glaze color of the month! It's a really gorgeous icy blue color. To make the ombre background, I take a little scoop of each color and mix it together on my glass mat to make a transitional color.
