Hello crafty friends! What a weekend I had at Creativation 2019 here in Phoenix...I am incredibly lucky that I had the opportunity to attend the trade show that is not open to the public. I got to see so many fabulous crafty friends, and make some awesome new ones! For this week's Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team hop, I'm sharing a card with the cutest little box of chocolates, which is the January stamp of the month from the Brutus Monroe Monthly Stamp Club. I started with a background made from the Valentine's aqua pigments. They are really pretty, with a metallic shimmer to them. I painted some loose stripes with the Red Hot and Candy Heart onto a panel of aqua pigment paper and set it aside to dry. I stamped the chocolate box onto Alabaster cardstock with Raven detail ink, and colored it in with alcohol markers. Hey crafty friends! Thanks for hoping over to my blog today! The Brutus Monroe inspiration team is gearing up for Christmas and finishing up our holiday cards this week. I had a lot of backgrounds already made with the Freshly Cut background stamp and I've been needing to turn them into cards! For this one, I had heat embossed the background stamp in gold onto aqua pigment paper, and I did a wash of aqua pigments over the top in the colors green and yellow. I heat embossed the Festive Deer stamp onto a piece of heat resistant vellum, and trimmed it down on the sides. Then I die cut a rectangular window from the center of a piece of Alabaster cardstock, and adhered the vellum strip to the back of the window. I put foam tape all around the back of the frame, and stuck it to a larger Alabaster cardstock mat. This gave it a floating effect. Hi crafty friends! This week's Brutus Monroe blog hop is focusing on florals. I have two projects to share today, both using the exact same products in different ways. For both projects, I used the  Enchanted Rose stamp  . The enchanted rose is the first stamp I ever bought from them! It's so pretty, and has a lot of big open spaces to color. For the first card, I decided to heat emboss the image using the Gilded EP  onto some aqua pigment paper . I used Pink aqua pigment for the flowers and Yellow and Green aqua pigments for the leaves. I die cut a circle from vellum and wrapped it around the from of the card. I die cut the "Hello" sentiment 3 times from aqua pigment paper, and layered them together for dimension. I matted it on Speckled Egg cardstock and a white card base. I finished it off with a few clear dew drops. Hello Crafty Friends! Thanks for stopping by today. I have two projects using the "Okie Pride" stamp set, designed by Ann Corbiere-Scott for Paper Arts in Edmond, Oklahoma. For the first card, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. This technique can be simplified if you have a wreath builder template from Gina K, but I thought I'd show you an easy technique to fill your backgrounds up if you don't have one. You do, however, need a stamp positioning platform of some kind. Take a square piece of cardstock and use a ruler to draw diagonal lines all the way through. Keeping the lines face-up for now, arrange the small stamps in one of the sections, taking care not to go over the line, but make sure that you fill the space up to the lines. Once you are satisfied, close the door to your stamp platform and pick up the stamps. Open the door again, and flip your cardstock over so that the pencil lines are not showing.
