Interactive Card - Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends! Thanks for joining me today. It's another blog hop Wednesday for the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team, and this is a really fun hop! The theme this week is "Interactive Cards", so be sure to hop around to everyone's blogs for super cool inspiration.
My card features some big chipboard pineapples, sketch foil and some neon aqua pigments!

I started by coating the top of the pineapples with DecoFoil transfer gel and the "body" of the pineapple with white gesso. When it was dry, I ran them through my laminator with green sketch foil for the green spiky tops. I used Neon Pink and Neon Yellow aqua pigments to paint the pineapple, and when it was dry, I used Sunflower glitter glaze with the July stencil of the month over it.

I splattered the Neon Pink, Neon Green and Neon Yellow aqua pigments onto a piece of Raven cardstock and allowed it to dry. For the mechanism to make the pineapples wiggle, I follow this YouTube tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVldJm8YTVI
Ali is an amaaaazing card designer and I adore her projects! She used a die set to make the slider mechanism which I do not own, so I used scissors and a paper trimmer to make the anchor-shaped piece and to cut the little slider slit in the card front. It took me some trial and error, but it definitely worked in the end, so you don't need the die set to make it work!

I hope you enjoy this shiny and bright interactive card! Make sure you hop around to the other blogs and see the fun projects!
