Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Hop - Pretty Paper
Hello crafty friends! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team has a fun hop for you, celebrating some new paper packs that the company has released! I love this hop because I am constantly amazed by the amount of things you can do with just some paper and adhesive! I started out by making cards with some of these new papers, but then decided I wanted to go beyond that. I love making little treat boxes for friends and coworkers and family, especially during the holidays or birthdays. If I'm giving someone a gift card, I enjoy presenting it in a homemade card and with a handmade treat box with their favorite candy, so that the gift is more personal.
I followed several tutorials from one of my favorite YouTube papercrafters, Sam Hammond and her channel Pootles Papercrafts. She is in the UK and does fabulous tutorials for all different treat boxes. At the end of the post, I'll number the boxes, and I'll link to each tutorial. For the boxes made with the Rustic Floral papers, I fussy cut some of the flowers and leaves straight from the paper patterns and used them to decorate the boxes. The bird and the sentiment are from the Feathered Friends stamp set.
The boxes made with the Bold Rainbow papers all have sentiments from the Super Sentimental stamp set.
I also made an easy card with the rainbow paper. I used an Alabaster card base and cut one sheet of the rainbow paper along the swirl edge. I cut the remaining smaller piece along the swirl edge as well, and I popped both pieces up on the cardstock base with foam tape. I heat embossed the sentiment onto Raven cardstock with Alabster EP, and doodled a couple of little circles as well. It was a great quick card, and the rainbow paper packs a big punch!
Keep hopping to see what the rest of the team has made with these beautiful papers this week! Next up is Marie, so click over to her blog to see her gorgeous creation.
