Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Hop - June Subscription Items


Hello crafty friends! Thanks for stopping by today! It's Wednesday which means blog hop day for the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team. This week we are showcasing different subscription items for the month of June. I chose to use the stamp of the month and the stencil of the month, and the sentiment from the inspiration box. I hope it doesn't make you too dizzy!


For this card, I started with a panel of Alabaster cardstock and I used the stencil of the month with Raven ink over the top to make the background. Then I die cut the frame from Raven cardstock and lined it with foam tape. I heat embossed the cassette tape 8 times onto Raven cardstock with Alabaster powder. After fussy cutting around the shapes, I arranged them around the edges of the frame, leaving some hanging over the side. I secured them with pieces of foam tape, and then trimmed the parts that were hanging off the edge. I used the trimmed off pieces to fill in some of the spaces around the frame and glued them into place, again trimming off anything that hung over the edge.


I stuck the frame around the stenciled panel with the foam tape along the back, and used pieces of foam tape to reinforce the cassettes that are sticking out into the middle. After stamping the sentiment onto a scrap piece of Alabaster cardstock with Raven detail ink, I clipped the words apart and stuck them in the middle with foam tape. 

This card came together pretty quickly! One of the things I really like about the monthly stamp club stamps is that so far, they have all had very clean lines that are easy to cut out. I love the look of cutting images and popping them up for some dimension.
