Brutus Monroe October Stamp Club - Candy Corn Vampire

I am crazy for the October stamp of the month from Brutus Monroe! A candy corn vampire! How cute is this guy?? And bonus, it has really clean lines around the outside of the image that make it very easy to fussy cut. The stamp of the month club is really cool; you will receive a 2x3 stamp set for only $5 which includes your shipping and handling! The stamp set is designed each month by Christopher and will be shipped out to you by the 15th of the month (excluding holidays, in the event of a holiday falling on shipment day the stamp will ship on the next business day)

I stamped four of this yummy little guy and colored them with copic markers. I fussy cut all of them and used a black marker around the edges. (This is a trick I learned a lot time ago, and it makes any cut stamped images look more finished and polished!)

FRONT

For the front of the card I used the new Aqua Pigments in the colors "Yellow" and "Red". I wet the paper ahead of time and them dropped pigment onto the wet paper, letting the colors mix in some areas to create that orange tone. I dried the pigments and then mixed some yellow and red onto a palette to create orange and flicked a few drops on the orange all over the panel. While that was drying, I used the uppercase letter dies to cut out "BOO" from Raven cardstock three times. I layered them up to give a little bit of thickness to the word, since the letters themselves are so thin and delicate. I backed the watercolor panel with a little bit of Raven cardstock and then adhered the vampire candy corn to the front with foam tape. I then stuck the whole panel onto the front of the card.

INSIDE

For the inside of the card, I followed Jennifer McGuire's YouTube tutorial for a tunnel card using some lunchbag cardstock and a piece of Raven cardstock as well. For the very background inside the vampire bat "cave", I used a piece of Raven cardstock and stenciled DecoFoil transfer gel through the Paint Spots stencil. Once the transfer gel was dry, I ran it through my laminator with a Sunrise foil sheet. Once the tunnel card was assembled, I adhered three of the vampires to various levels of the tunnel inside, including two that are hanging from the top! I used the embossing ink and Alabaster embossing powder to create the little "Bite Me" sentiment strip. It makes me giggle every time!

For the second project, I made some hair bows for my daughters! I stamped the vampire image on the Brutus Monroe shrink film using Raven detail ink. I colored them with copic markers, and cut them out. I used my heat tool to shrink them down and them used hot glue to adhere them to the bows. Super easy and adorable!

I hope you enjoy these projects using the stamp of the month!
