Decorative Details - Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop

Image
Hi there crafty friends, thanks for joining me today! It's blog hop Wednesday for the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team, and this week the theme is "Decorative Details". For my decorative details, I chose to use the clear acrylic bubbles and foil! I started with one of the new white "Ornamental" toner sheets, and sliced it into 4 equal panels. I ran one of them through the laminator with some of the new Gold Static foil, and trimmed it down. I used Rock Candy, Cabana and Locomotive surface inks to blend a blue icy background with a blending tool. After blending over the foiled images, I use a clean dry cloth to buff the panel, and it brings the shine of the foil back out. The foil resists the ink! I matted the panel first on a piece of Midnight yardstick and then a slightly larger piece of Gilded glitterstock. I heat embossed the sentiment from the "Oh Deer" stamp set with Gilded Sparkle EP onto a slice of midnight cardstock, and backed it with a lit

Brutus Monroe Subscription Items September 2019 - Inspiration Team Blog Hop

Image
Hello crafty friends! Thanks for stopping by for another blog hop Wednesday! The Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team is showing projects today with some of the subscription items for the month of September! I used the stamp set from the Inspiration box, the stamp of the month and the embossing powder of the month to make this card. I started with a panel of Aqua Pigment paper, and heat embossed all of the different leaves and fall elements from the inspiration box stamp set with Gilded EP. I used a water brush and color burst powders to color all the images and left them to dry.  I heat embossed the stamp of the month onto aqua pigment paper as well, only so that the tone would match the white space in the background. I used the EP of the month called Fallen Leaves, which is a beautiful maroon/burgundy color. It's fantastic for fall, and I've never seen a similar color! I trimmed the image down and layered that on top of a scrap of burlap and adhered it all to the backg

Patterned Papers - Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends! Welcome to another blog hop Wednesday brought to you by the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team. This week we've all made projects with some of the cool patterned papers from Brutus Monroe! I chose to make these cute little mini notebooks. I followed this tutorial here: https://youtu.be/3VJ5jLuGf7o All of the notebooks and the inserts are laminated to make them durable. I was thinking I might make some for Christmas gifts and attach them to keychains for my nieces and nephews! They're 4 inched high which is a really adorable size. For the first notebook, I used papers from the Fabulous Flamingo pad. I used a circle punch to cut out the two little lovely dove flamingos, and glued the circle to the front before I laminated it. For the second notebook, I used the Fresh Squeeze paper pad, and I made a thin shaker window on the front! I laminated the notebook cover first, and then adhered the shaker window on after. I love the bright ci
